Chartered Accountant and U.S. Enrolled Agent CA Vinod Rawal today launched his book, Bridging Borders – Taxation, Repatriation & Succession, at the India International Centre, New Delhi. Published by Har-Anand Publications, the book is a comprehensive and practical guide designed for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), globally connected Indian families, professionals, and financial advisors dealing with cross-border financial and legal matters.

Drawing upon more than 37 years of professional experience, CA Vinod Rawal has authored the book to simplify complex issues relating to international taxation, FEMA regulations, Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements (DTAA), fund repatriation, inheritance, succession planning, anti-money laundering compliance, foreign investments, and other cross-border regulatory frameworks.

Unlike conventional tax books, Bridging Borders explains complex legal provisions through more than 50 real-life case studies and practical family scenarios. Spread across 15 chapters, the book integrates key legislations including the Income Tax Act, FEMA, DTAA, FCRA, PMLA, FATCA/CRS, the Benami Law, the Black Money Act, and succession laws into a single practical reference.

The book follows the story of a globally connected Indian family to explain how residential status affects taxation, how NRIs can legally repatriate funds from India, manage overseas investments, plan inheritance, and comply with evolving financial regulations.

Speaking on the occasion, CA Vinod Rawal said: "With increasing global mobility, Indian families require clarity and confidence in managing their assets across jurisdictions. 'Bridging Borders' aims to simplify complex tax and succession matters and provide practical solutions for families navigating cross-border financial responsibilities."

Addressing the needs of nearly 35 million Indians living overseas and their families in India, the book seeks to empower readers with practical guidance for managing wealth, taxation, inheritance, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

The event brought together experts from taxation, banking, law, governance, and financial planning to deliberate on the growing importance of informed cross-border financial planning in an increasingly globalised world.

The launch ceremony was attended by several eminent personalities, including Shri K. J. Alphons, IAS, Former Union Minister; Shri S. B. K. Singh, IPS, Former Director General, Delhi Prisons; Dr. (Adv.) Ravi Gupta, renowned author of over 200 tax books; Shri Shashank Dixit, Chief General Manager & Zonal Head, IDBI Bank, Delhi; and renowned entrepreneur, motivational speaker and author Shri Shiv Khera.
